My name is Ivan
I go to UCI
just trying to figure out life each day as it goes by.....

Just a way for me to share some of my more meaningful thoughts/reflections as i get them.

Recap of random day

I realized I dont blog enough…so im going to try and blog a little more. no guarantees though.

Recently something that I have been praying for in the mornings is for God to reveal himself to me, and to give me opportunities to love other people.

THe other day I was at the park with Justin balling, and this one random lady was watching us. She seemed a little awkward kinda, but after we were done she started talking to us. At first she gave me a pinecone to give to my mother, and im like uh…..ok haha. I converse with her a little, and she asked to read me like a quote. Even though I was kinda in a hurry, and I decided to give it a listen, and it was something that I felt like I needed to hear. It ended up being stuff super relevant to what I’ve been going through, and she even spoke some insight into a situation that I am in right now. Ends up maybe that meeting was divinely appointed? Who knows, but def blessed by that random encounter. Imma try and keep my eyes open to what God has in store for me each day.

Ill update my fall quarter soonnnnnn hopefully….haha

Dead. Can’t wait for Christmas.

Thanks to the based entity that created this masterpiece.

I guarantee this is the funniest video you’ll watch all week. Even funnier than the previous Ron Artest one I just reblogged.

Dwight Howard: Well how he (Chris Paul) gon’ get #3, if Devean George was #3? He can’t be #3 if Devean George was #3, right?

Chris Paul: Hey that’s a good question Dwight. I don’t want to be CPfo’ or CP5 or CP29 or CP34.

Founders Field

Hello Friends and Family!

Unfortunately, we are announcing the offical end of Founders Field. Due to different circumstances, it has been tough for us to continue to play shows and write music about what we are passionate about. We hope that even though our time together was short, that you were all encouraged by the message that our band was centered around - loving broken people regardless of where they’be been, what they’ve done, or who they are.

Maybe its possible that in the future we will come back together again to create music, but as for now, it seems as if we are going on a long term hiatus.

Its been a good couple of years and we would like to thank you all for your support these past years. From our first show at battle of the bands to our last show, the support we had from you all encouraged us to continue to do what we were doing. Thanks again everyone!

Founders Field

extremely thankful for the five years or so that I got to play music together with this talented bunch of guys. i was incredibly blessed by each and every moment of writing songs and making music together, hanging out, and doing ridiculous things together as fellow musicians, friends, and brothers.

at the end of the day
many inside jokes to laugh at,
many stories to tell,
and hopefully some positive music about hope for the broken

Well said, Nick. Here’s to what was, what has come, and what might have been.

Until next time!

Its definitely been a good run. I will miss these moments for sure, and it was my pleasure to make music with this group. Even though we never got to do all the things we wanted to do, maybe somehow we will be in a time and place that calls for us to reunite. Until then, its time to put this chapter to a close.  Even though the end of a matter is better than the beginning, it is still hard to bring it to an end.

I feel like this year will be a year where I will have more words put on my heart, and more melodies to create. Just because our time as a band has come to pass, it doesn’t mean that music will not be continued to be made. Be ready :]

I  definitely have to say, whenever I sing this song I can’t help but smile
